What makes Saddleback Sponsorship unique? 1. Church–initiated sponsorship connects orphans with churches. Saddleback Sponsorship is built on the foundation of the church-to-churches principle. Your donation goes directly to the orphan and vulnerable child through churches. Local pastors have identified children in their community who would benefit from church-to-church sponsorship. Your generous gifts helps the orphan and the family that is caring for them. Children are drawn into relationship with the local church in their community rather than with a church thousands of miles away. As a result, the orphan and vulnerable child receives help directly from the church where they live. 2. Your sponsorship provides immediate relief and long term solutions. Immediate relief for items such as food, clothing, medicine and education are included in this initiative, but a portion of your gift also goes toward long-term sustainable resources such as livestock and gardens. Your giving offers hope for the immediate crisis, but builds solutions for the long-term needs of a child. Will I Receive a Report? Yes, reports will be sent to you about the group of orphans and vulnerable children you sponsor, with information about the church and community. You will be able to rejoice over the progress and continue to pray.
