Are you Thinking About Adoption or Foster Care?

Attend the "Thinking About Adoption" seminar.  This seminar is offered to those interested in a safe place to explore questions without pressure.  Hear from others who share your fears, concerns and questions and have navigated the adoption questions for themselves.  Learn where to begin, how to prepare, who to talk to, and how to seek God's direction.

This interactive and information-packed seminar occurs every month!

The next seminar is on July 31, and will cover overcoming the obstacles of finances and paperwork, and how to begin your adoption journey.

Visit our Events Calendar or email orphans@saddleback.com or phone (949) 609-8555 for more details

Steps to Adoption

  1. Search God’s Word and Pray:  While it’s clear that God cares for the orphan, as you begin this journey, ask God if He wants you and your husband/wife to adopt.  Keep your heart open to what God wants for you, your family and the child who may be waiting for your home.
  2. Seek counsel from others:  Join an adoption support group, ask friends and families.  Befriend others who have adopted and ask their counsel.
  3. Simplify the process by choosing what type of adoption is right for your family:  a child from the United States or from another country.
  4. Select an agency to help in your domestic or intercountry adoption.
  5. Surrender your plans to God, keeping the child, not yourself as central, accessing the support and resources God has for you.
